- ANNUAL PUB 6-A-SIDE
A
NOTE FROM THE CHAIRMAN
On behalf of the club a huge thank you to all those
who attended and took part in what I believe will
prove to be the most successful six-a-side ever.
Congratulations to the White Hart on regaining the
trophy – but as with any competition its the
fact that others take part that creates the competition
in the first place. To that end we had more participants
than for many years and we thank them all. In particular
it was great to see new teams from the Oddfellows
and our Local Heroes in the Fire Brigade I hope
you all enjoyed it enough to try again next year.
Could I also thank the club members and supporters
for the hard work that they put in to make the day
such a success. To Ella and Becky on the bar-b-q
, to all the ladies and gents who worked in the
tea pavilion and the bar, to Peter Crowley , who
brought a , whole new meaning to the phrase “they
shall not pass” and to the playing members
who scored , umpired , organized and “ogled”
throughout the day. – It is particularly heartening
to note that all 22 who played on Saturday were
present and made a contribution at some stage –
thank you to you all.
